Not legal advice and not a law firm

MeritPath is an educational planning product. It is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not create an attorney-client relationship. AI-generated evaluations, scores, risk flags, opportunities, communications, and drafts may be incomplete or inaccurate. Consult qualified immigration counsel before filing or relying on information for a consequential decision.

Terms of Service

2.1 Acceptance and eligibility

By using MeritPath, you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 years old, able to enter a binding agreement, and provide accurate account and profile information.

2.2 The service

MeritPath provides educational tools for organizing applicant-provided information, reviewing evidence against publicly described criteria, finding opportunities, drafting communications for user review, and preparing materials for independent professional review. Features may change.

2.3 Accounts and security

You are responsible for protecting your credentials and activity under your account. Contact us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

2.4 Your content

You retain ownership of information and documents you submit. You permit MeritPath to process that content only as needed to provide and improve your workspace. You are responsible for its accuracy and must not submit fabricated, misleading, or fraudulent evidence.

2.5 No outcome guarantee

Scores, classifications, gaps, and projections are planning aids. They do not promise eligibility, approval, timing, or any other immigration outcome.

2.6 Third-party services

Some functions may rely on hosting, database, authentication, AI-model, email, or payment providers. Those services may have separate terms and privacy practices.

2.7 Availability and liability

The service is provided as available without a guarantee that output is complete, current, accurate, or uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law, MeritPath is not responsible for decisions made in reliance on generated output.

2.8 Termination and changes

You may stop using the service at any time. Access may be suspended to protect the service or address misuse. Material changes to these terms will be reflected by a revised update date.

Privacy Policy

3.1 Information you provide

We process account details and the profile, career, evidence, and planning information you add to your workspace.

3.2 How information is used

Information is used to operate the workspace, generate requested analysis and drafts, maintain security, support users, and improve service reliability. MeritPath does not sell personal information.

3.3 AI processing

Requested AI features may send relevant portions of profile or evidence context to a configured model provider. Only use these features with information you are authorized to process.

3.4 Sharing and outbound actions

Service providers may process data to operate infrastructure and requested features. MeritPath does not contact immigration authorities for you. Outreach and submissions require an explicit user action.

3.5 Retention and security

Workspace data is retained while needed to provide the service and meet legitimate operational or legal requirements. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

3.6 Your choices

You may request access, correction, export, or deletion where applicable by contacting legal@meritpath.example. Browser controls can manage local cookies and storage, though disabling required storage may affect the service.

Acceptable Use

Do not use MeritPath to fabricate evidence or identity, misrepresent facts, harass or spam others, send unlawful communications, interfere with the service, infringe another person’s rights, or present generated content as advice from a licensed professional.

Memberships, Billing & Refunds

Some features, including dashboard AI chat, are reserved for paid memberships. Billing is not currently configured in this application, and the interface will not collect payment until a payment provider and checkout terms are enabled. Future paid subscriptions, cancellation, renewal, and refund terms will be disclosed before purchase.
